I got mine working nicely on 2 PCs with Samsung C-Die mixed with Hynix CJR & another Hynix I have yet to check but I suspect they can be CJR or DJR unless it is MFR... Can MFR do 3200MHz CL16-20-20?

beginner here, never overclocked anything except enabling pbo and undervolting my gpu, after putting in these settings it booted just fine, although my bios didnt have a power down mode so i just ignored that. really great tutorial

What settings can i apply for r5 5500 on this mb?

My Asus Strix Z690-F Gaming wifi boots 7200 but errors out the same amount as 7000 no matter how loose the timings are or what voltage VDDQ or System Agent or IMC voltage its at. Using 13700k with Kingston 6400CL32 Hynix M-Die i believe because of high tRCD. So it could be the board, CPU or memory itself. I'm now have 6933 CL30 at 1.52v with fan cooling. I squeezed out every timing, some are crazy tight for that voltage with the help of these awesome overclocking videos and did hours of trial and error and hours of stress testing. These sticks throw errors at max tREFI at around 43°C which they hit in this summer time but works when its winter season. So its at half 131071 now which i suggest people to at least try this value. Also couldn't get 6933 CL28 to work. Only at 1.61v which i wanted to daily but i am not willing to buy a spare kit. I am more then satisfied with the result on this kinda cheap four dimmer. But i desperatly wanted to get at least 7000 stable on this motherboard because it's a z690 that would have been awesome. Would like to share them next time too i hope i can catch it next time even tough many are sick off Intel DDR5 🤣

Can you please give me an advice? I have to decide between buying a 3200 MHz CL14 or 3600 MHz CL16. When i divide it, i get that the latency of the CL14 is slightly smaller than the faster 3600. Do you think it will perform better or does the higher frequency make larger impact for other reasons? I plan to use it mainly for gaming.

Thanks! I had previously set PL limits and wasn't really thrilled with performance. The first config here got my 14900k to 39.5k in cinebench r23 - which I'll gladly take, and it's much more stable now

With the latest Bios you can push up to 2200MHz on a lot of 7800X3Ds. Huge win for people that leverage cache intensive workloads.

Hey has does someone have experience with Hynix CJR 16Gbit DR on Intel? I have a 128GB 4 DIMM 3200c16 kit, these are 32gb DIMMs. Currently running at 4533c20 @1.425V. But I'm so confused with this shit. The Tertiaries could go way lower @3533c16, latency was 55ns (now 64). Edit: I'm on an Strix Z690 Gaming Wifi D4 paired with an 12900k

2:30:10 I cared about DDR3 speed. I got an Asus Sabertooth mobo to replace my other mobo. Just to go from 1600 to 1800 Mhz :P. With 4 sticks. And for once I wanted to own a really good mobo, was another factor too. No regrets.

Theres a difference between looking at a photo and testing the actual motherboard. This board stacks up against the high end MSI mobos in terms of vrm performance.

Always nice to see you go over a part I have. My personal reasons for grabbing this board was the 10 Gbit LAN port, secondary 2.5 Gbit LAN and dual 8x PCIe 5.0 slots. The M.2 layout does have its quirks but isn't bad. I do wish it had a POST code display instead of those simple LED lights. Those 40 Gbit USB-C ports are indeed Thunderbolt compatible. I've attached an external 4x PCIe 3.0 chassis to the board just to see if it'll work. Yeah, it does. I'm also of the impression that you don't need to use the DP input for these USB-C ports to drive external displays either: they'll use the simple integrated GPU to drive them by default which is fine for desktop work but not for gaming. Both LAN ports support AVB audio over the network. Windows doesn't have drivers for it but they do exist on the Linux side. AMD does require some CPU attached M.2 slots per X670E spec, at least at launch. I think this as since change as they've launched the Epyc 4004 line up that uses the same AM5 socket. Having three 8x PCIe 5.0 slots on that low end Epyc would have some server value though it'd leave all the M.2 slots hanging off of the chipset and at 4.0 speeds.

1:00:00 same 7950X3D, same Gene, and 2x48GB 6400 CL30-38-38-38 (vdimm 1.43v, VDDIO=VDDQ=1.35v). However, I have to increase tRAS to 34. (At 6400 With tRAS 30, y-cruncher VT3 will be upset even if increasing tCL to 36 or/and vdimm to 1.45v).

Thx, awesome post. helped me to determine to really dial back from the speed since windows instantly crashes on 79503DX to estimated max fabric speed the CPU can properly run. For me it is just 1950Mhz that is for sure stable (silicon lottery lost, on this part of the chip) . 2100Mhz is instant crash in windows/windows won't even make it to boot. Will not return the CPU because on all other aspects it performs a bit better than expected boost clocks/memory timings and speed.

I have an option to buy either 3600MHz CL16 or 3200MHz CL14. When i divide the numbers, the CL14 ends up to be slightly shorter latency. So does it make sense to consider it or should i just go with the 3600MHz for some other reasons?

I don't know why I thought AMDs boost solution made the BCLK OC useless. I thought I had heard that their algo would just not boost the multiplier higher in order to target the 'correct' final speed.

I bought the Corsair Vengeance 5200, and version 4.3 was listed on the QVL for my x670e pro with Samsung memory chips. However, I received version 3 with Micron chips, which is disappointing. I'm hoping it will still reach at least 5600. Corsair really needs to improve their transparency so customers can know exactly what they are purchasing.

I have this set but run it at cl14 3800mz on my Ryzen 9 5900x runs smooth as silk low latency high red write and copy at 1.5 volt cooling the cpu Arctic liquid freezer II 360 rev with the offset brackets and direct cooling on the ram modules never go over 28.7c.
